THE LITTLE MERMAID
Thank you to all the students that auditioned for The Little Mermaid. We are proud of each of you! Attached is the cast list.
The School Accountability Committee is looking for two members of our parent community to fill vacant positions on the team. The committee meets monthly to review school data and make recommendations to the board for improvement. If you are interested in serving PPA in this capacity, please send a letter of intent to Principal Burgess by September 6.
LOST AND FOUND
All lost and found items are picked up on the Friday closest to the end of each month. The specific pick up date is on the website's “School Events” calendar as a reminder for families. We will be adding a plastic bin to store water bottles that still have liquid in them to help minimize spills. Please encourage your child(ren) to take home any of their items prior to August 30th - as it will all be gone the following Monday. We do not donate clothing with the PPA logo, as we will give these specific items to families in need. We do our best to return clothing items with student names written on them, and all other items are donated to a local charity.

DISNEY TRIP FOR 7TH/8TH GRADERSWe are so excited to announce our Disney Trip for 7th and 8th grade students. This is open to all 7th and 8th grade singers, dancers and instrumentalists! Please see the flyer for more information, including details on the parent interest meeting on Wednesday, September 4th at 6:30pm at PPA.
BLUETOOTH ON STUDENT DEVICES
Parents, this weekend your student(s) will be able to connect their bluetooth devices. The PPA IT team will unlock bluetooth at the end of school on Friday and lock it prior to school starting on Monday. Please take this time to help them connect their headphones or keyboards prior to Monday morning. Thank you!
OUTSIDE FOOD / BALLOONS / GIFTS
Please read PPA’s policy HERE regarding outside food, balloons, gifts, etc. brought into the school.
CHAPARRAL CROSS COUNTRY CHALLENGE
Each year Chap XC hosts a CHS feeder school cross country challenge. Their goal is to promote exercise and to introduce them to the sport of cross country! The event is Tuesday, September 10th, 6:00 pm at Sierra Middle School. Click here for their flyer.
