P3) Visual Art-Fall 26-27 Assignments

Draw a haunted house with the sub! Follow the slides and use the drawing guides. Use markers and colored pencils, complete in sketchbook. Submit a photo. See rubric for grading.

I am posting this here in case worksheets were lost! Please fill out the form before Fridays class! 

Choose 1 song that you will listen to at home to determine shapes and colors for your Kadinsky inspired artwork. Write down the song name and title in a google doc. 

Complete the animal box planning. See the slides for student examples. It's important that you find photos of your animal from front and side views, of entire animal not just face. I have several animal books if you need additional resources.

Use the slides to complete the handouts.

Complete the following when done with shoe drawing. 

Use the poster and slides to review tools for clay. 

Then, complete the Art Studio Safety Rules. I have printed handouts. Place in period 3 bin when complete or submit digital here.

Answer the questions for an artist reflection.

Monday Classwork

Objective: SWBAT distinguish between cultural appreciation and cultural appropriation by analyzing Mexican Día de los Muertos masks and West African Dan masks.

Please see rubric attached for grading and expectation.

Read over the syllabus with your grown ups and return signed, submitting here.

Purchase a 9 x 12 sketchbook for the class. On the front cover, write your full name and period. Take a photo of it and submit photo here to turn in. Purchase a pack of 8+ #2 pencils. Keep a few in your backpack, the rest go in the box on Mrs. Pop's desk.

You will bring your sketchbook to class daily. You have the option to leave it in the classroom in the crate labeled for your class.

Create a portfolio with your first name, last name, and class period. Add 5 images or details that say something about you. Take a photo and submit here.

What are your hobbies? Favorite food? Favorite sports? TV show? Music?
