Developing Confidence Through Performance

At Parker Performing Arts School (PPA), the only K-8 arts-focused tuition-free public school in Douglas County, our students are becoming more confident and building self-esteem in a unique program that combines arts and academics.

Arts + Confidence = Positive Results

Studies show that participating in arts activities is associated with well-being, leads to higher levels of academic self-confidence, improves mood, and reduces socioemotional difficulties.

“My kiddo has a unique personality and doesn't learn in the most traditional way. We moved her from her local public school to PPA and she has thrived immensely. All members of the staff are incredibly caring and work hard together to support all of their students.”

PPA is equipping students to become independent creative thinkers, critical problem solvers, and successful collaborators. No audition is required to attend. Instruction is offered at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels, so any student interested in exploring the arts is welcome.

“All the research about arts in education shows the value of what we offer here in
terms of creativity and right brain thinking. We partner arts and academics to give
our students the opportunity to pursue a passion while learning in the classroom.”

- PPA Principal, Phil Molfino

Every Opportunity for Every Student

Parker Performing Arts combines a rigorous academic curriculum with daily training in performing arts. Beginning in kindergarten, students build a solid foundation in four artistic disciplines: music, musical theater/dance, tumbling/movement and visual art. In middle school, 5th - 8th graders select four performing arts electives each semester from the 5 PPA Artistic Pathways.

Our teachers are passionate, experienced teaching artists who continue to practice their craft professionally.

Enrollment is now open for the 2024-25 school year. Contact us today to learn more about how PPA students are developing confidence.
